Rose Bark

An affair of the heart unfolds in the dusk of roses and spice. At its core stands Rose de Mai Absolute, grown and extracted in France, its deep, spicy-floral richness crowned by a burst of bergamot—a sweet, luminous opening that soon surrenders to the warmth beneath.

As the brightness fades, the fragrance reveals a voluptuous duet of Rose de Mai and Egyptian Jasmine Grandiflorum, unfurling like silk in candlelight. The floral heart burns gently with ginger extract, adding a radiant spice that gleams through the petals. Clove flower extract, not clove bud oil, but the softer, more nostalgic blossom, joins the harmony with an echo of childhood comfort—warm afternoons and the scents of wood in the air at sunset.

The base descends into smooth, Atlas Cedarwood and Dominican Amyris wood, a pairing of creamy woods and subtle balsamic depth. Threads of benzoin and faint vanillic resins anchor the blend, leaving a whisper of sweetness through the dry-down—a regal trail of rose and spice, balanced between fire and velvet.

Completing the benzoin, resinous dry-down are the animalics, with the inclusion of Chattam grey ambergris tincture and his side-partner, civet paste. All fixed with a 10% orris tincture made from the luxurious butter in France. A true delight for the senses: powerful, an olfactory trip to enjoy.
