Time Regained

Time Regained is an oil-based perfume built like a classic three-tier pyramid, top, heart, base, but it wears as memory does: not in straight lines, more like spirals.

Top

The first breath is sunlit citrus, a polished citrus accord of Bergamot, lime, and others, and cold-pressed Brazilian sweet orange. These create an opening that is sparkling, juicy, and immediately alive on the skin. Then seconds later, the green snap arrives: French galbanum resin, sharp and bitter-green, like crushed stems and antique varnish. Sweet basilflickers, herbal and bright.

Heart

As the brightness settles, the perfume turns inward and lush. A rich floral accord unfurls into a classical bouquet anchored by Rose de Mai (centifolia absolute, aka Cabbage rose), full, petal-dense, and honeyed, then illuminated by vintage Egyptian Jasmine grandiflorum, narcotic and warm, with that deep, tea-like floral shadow jasmine does so well. Warm spices thread softly through the florals, making the heart feel textured and lived-in, not “pretty for its own sake.”

Base

The base is where the title earns its name. A touch of amber accord glows from underneath, and Siam benzoin resinoidadds a vanilla-balsamic sweetness that feels like polished wood. Labdanum resin brings the ambery backbone, leathery, resinous, barely smoky, while Somali myrrh lends a dry, incense-like solemnity. East Indian sandalwood turns it creamy and meditative, and a co-distillation of Haitian vetiver and patchouli by resident artisan Aromology grounds the blend with earthy elegance: root, soil, shadowed leaves. Finally, a botanical musk softens the edges into something intimate, skin-warming, quietly persistent.

Time Regained is just the right volume as it develops on the skin. It is deliberate. Brightness becomes bouquet, bouquet becomes resin, resin becomes skin with a fantastic sillage.
