Lupus & Vega is proud to release “White Lotus Rising,” a fragrance that features heavy doses of white lotus absolute, resins, and animalics.

It is a fragrance that unites a sacred floral note with resins and my signature animalic shadows, forming a whole that is a meditation of spirit and mind.

The opening unfurls with the crisp bite of black pepper and the spicy warmth of pink peppercorn, a sparkling fire that awakens the senses. Quickly, those top notes burn off, revealing the earthy depth of Cypriol (Nagarmotha), grounding the composition in ancient soil and temple wood.

At the heart, the rare and exclusive White Lotus Absolute blooms in serene purity, veiled by a creamy, sacred Sri Lankan Indian Sandalwood. Their harmony suggests both stillness and transcendence, like petals floating over a hidden sanctuary pool.

The base radiates with profound mystery: an equally large dose of Spanish Labdanum Absolute weaves black resin with leathered warmth, while a tincture of pelted Castoreum tincture whispers a primal, leathery, animalic undertone. To soften the shadows, airy Ambrette Musk Seeds lends its mark, adding another musky note that supports the floral and leathery heart and base.

The result is a perfume both sacred and sensual--incense-like, resinous, and darkly lit. It is a rare white lotus blooming in a sanctum of spice, smoke, and spirit. The white lotus absolute—there are no other florals--is hugely dosed at nearly 17% of the composition, while the resinous and leathery Spanish Labdanum forms 20% of the concentrate.

The Spanish Labdanum used is full-bodied, with a warm, amber-like aroma and smoky, resinous background notes of cedarwood and black pepper.

The few ingredients work together and sit moderately close to the body in the dry-down. White Lotus Absolute is not a typical floral scent. It is a warm, skin-like aroma with earthy undertones, having traces of the animal indole, and has an overall effect of a deep richness.

As with all blends available from Lupus & Vega, the juice is dark and will stain clothing and hair. They are also highly concentrated. Perform a patch test before full wearing. Use with caution. Do not ingest. Not for children.
